Over the past year, we have seen a systematic corruption of the institutions Americans rely on to check corporate power and uphold equal justice under the law. Trump enforcers have turned away from their mandate to protect the public, allowing corporations and lobbyists to capitalize on insider access. In doing so, they and the legal establishment have deepened a two-tiered justice system that shields the powerful. The cost of corruption is real: ordinary Americans pay with higher prices, degraded products and services, workplace retaliation, and a less dynamic and democratic economy.
This convening will bring together experts to confront how corporate influence and executive pressure have eroded the rule of law, and to examine what must be done urgently to restore integrity, accountability, and public trust in our democratic institutions.
