Matt Buck is a Policy Analyst at the American Economic Liberties Project. For the previous two years, he has been a reporter-researcher with the Open Markets Institute where he worked on a range of issues and led drafting of Open Markets’ biweekly newsletter, The Corner, reporting, analyzing, and commenting on antitrust and monopoly issues in the political economy.
He also assisted in drafting amicus briefs and other comment letters before federal agencies. His work has appeared in the Washington Monthly online and The New York Times. Before Open Markets, Matt worked as a paralegal at the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, where he helped investigate criminal cartel activity. He has a B.A. magna cum laude in history and mathematics from Columbia University.
